Webb & Carey has litigated interests involving many types of businesses in San Diego and throughout the Southwest. The shareholders have over 35 years combined experience litigating, claims involving a diverse number of interests, all manner of insurance coverage and bad faith actions by insureds, insurers and their brokers, professional liability, unfair competition claims, including those of fishing companies, real estate developers, real estate brokers, and emerging high technology companies. The firm has a few notable international insurance clients in Mexico, Switzerland, and England, and is currently pursuing claims of California insureds in the HIH and FAI Insurance Schemes of Arrangement in Australia. The firm has also prosecuted the claims of a small band of Kumeyaay Indians in federal, state and tribal courts and administrative appeals in the Interior Board of Indian Appeals.
The firm’s shareholders have successfully prosecuted actions in California, Arizona, Nevada, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. They are admitted to practice before all courts in California, the Southern, Central and Northern Districts of California, the Ninth Circuit, the Federal Circuit, the Federal Court of Claims, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
